Privacy & GDPR Notice

Who We Are

Market Trends Research is a trading name of Brightside Enterprises Limited (registered in England and Wales, No. 12265340). This Privacy Notice explains how Market Trends Research collects and uses your personal data. Market Trends Research operates as part of Sentrama's outreach campaigns to inform businesses about our product/service offer; we are committed to handling personal information lawfully and transparently.

How We Obtained Your Data

We have your contact details (such as your name, business telephone number, and possibly job title or company name) either because: (a) you provided them to us or our partners, or (b) we obtained them from a reputable data provider in the business sector.

In this campaign, we source prospect data from our parent company's GDPR-compliant database of business contacts. We only target business telephone numbers and contacts likely to have an interest in our services, and we check these numbers against the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and Corporate TPS before calling.

If your number was listed on a do-not-call registry, our apologies – we aim to filter those out. We have a strict legitimate interest assessment in place to ensure our reason for contacting you is appropriate and not overridden by your rights.

Purpose of Processing

The sole purpose for processing your data is direct marketing – specifically, to inform you about Market Trends Research's product/service that may benefit your business. We are placing a brief call to relevant professionals to see if there is interest.

Under GDPR, we rely on legitimate interests as our lawful basis for this outreach, as we have a genuine business interest in promoting our offerings and believe this call is relevant to you in a professional context. We have balanced this interest against your privacy rights: the call is non-intrusive, brief, and directed to business-related contact details.

Importantly, you have the right to object to such calls at any time, and we will immediately respect your wishes.

What Data We Process

For this campaign, the data we process about you is limited to basic business contact information: typically your name, phone number, and perhaps your company and role. We do not process any sensitive personal data.

During the call, we do not record your voice or collect additional personal details without your consent. We simply note the call outcome (e.g., answered/unanswered, interested or not interested).

If you request not to be called again, we record your number in our "Do Not Call" list to ensure we suppress it in future campaigns. You can use this form to be added to our DNC list.

How We Process Calls

The calls are performed using an automated dialing system with a recorded or text-to-speech message for efficiency, but no prerecorded marketing messages are used – the call content is specifically tailored and interactive via our system (you may be given options to respond via keypad or voice).

We do not conduct any automatic decision-making or profiling beyond selecting business sectors likely to be interested. If at any point you indicate you do not wish to continue, the call will end promptly.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to opt out of any further contact from Market Trends Research. If you do not want to be called again, simply let us know during the call (e.g., say "Do not call me" or press the opt-out key if prompted). We will immediately mark your number and ensure it is excluded from all future campaigns.

You can also add your number to our Do Not Call list by filling out the DNC opt-out form on this website.

Additionally, you have the right to access any data we hold about you, to have it corrected if inaccurate, or erased. To make any data rights request, please contact us using the details below. We will honor all legitimate requests in accordance with GDPR.

Please note, if you are registered on official preference services (TPS/CTPS), we endeavor not to call those numbers at all by running a pre TPS check on all of our data – if we contacted you in error, we apologize and will ensure it does not happen again.

Data Sharing and Security

Your data is collected and processed for the purpose of conducting B2B research and verifying professional contact details. If you answer one of our calls or complete a short survey, the fact of that interaction — including your name, business phone number, and any professional data you provide — may be shared with selected third-party clients who are seeking to validate the accuracy of their contact databases or engage in further B2B outreach.

This sharing occurs only when a call is successfully picked up or a survey is completed, and is limited to clients operating in a professional, non-consumer context. The recipients of this information are subject to contractual obligations to handle your data lawfully, securely, and only for legitimate B2B purposes.

Data Retention

We retain personal contact data for the duration of the marketing campaign and to avoid duplicate contacts. If you express interest, your information may be passed to our sales team for follow-up (at which point you would receive further privacy notice as a prospective customer).

If you indicate no interest or do not answer, your data may be retained for a short period for internal analysis and to ensure we don't accidentally re-contact you too soon or at all if you opted out.

All data from this campaign will be erased or permanently anonymized no later than 2 months after the campaign ends, except any numbers on our suppression (do-not-call) list which we retain to honor your no-contact request. Suppression list entries are kept solely to block future calls and are not used for any other purpose.
